Happy Birthday Lauren!!

Today is Lauren’s 19th birthday. I can hardly believe it! She has become such a wonderful young woman and I am so proud of all her accomplishments and the integrity and class that she embodies. I know Rory is very proud of his little sis. Please join me in wishing her best wishes for today!

Rory Update 12/29

We got a call from Rory early this morning. It was soooo great to finally hear his voice!! (Since May for me!) He is doing as well as can be expected. Said he had just shaved his head this morning. J He and Rob are together and Dan is in a different platoon doing other stuff. His platoon is rotating post duties as they are no longer on patrol. They are done with their artillery training and are now back to work. He may be moving to a different camp in January. He said that he is staying warm and has all the food items, toiletries, books etc. that he needs and in fact is deluged with packages. So after the b-day packages (He turns 22 on 1/24/05!), please just send cards and letters for a while. His leave date is still uncertain and he feels like there is still a good chance that he may not get leave at all, but we will all keep our fingers crossed and keep on praying and hoping. The good news is that once he gets to Ft. Carson in the fall, after his debrief time, he will get 30 days leave and be home for a bit. He said the bugs are not as bad as they used to be with the cooler weather. He also wanted to wish his sister a very happy birthday.

It was so nice to see so many of you over the past week. I hope you all continue to check the site, and especially keep posting comments. (For those of you who don’t post, you know who you are!!!)
